Heaters OK, have one IR plus 2 convection, all at the bottom.
We did install an air flow restrictor in the exhaust, but I am still not comfortable. I will move the exhaust outside of the machine, at the exit.

I missed that point. Are all the heaters working properly?
Is your air flow at the min you require to stop fumes escaping from I/O, could it be turned up too high?
I wouldn't take too much notice of Electroverts recommended airflow!
