Hello Bob
Wow, that's a small job! Assuming you aren't done by now...

Good place to start is IPC Handbook 830. Then look at things like:

Volume - how many boards do you need to coat? - this will dictate
equipment selection.

Materials - what are you protecting it from? - how will you test your
material to ensure it will do what you think it needs to do? What cure
limitations do you have (e.g. do you have to go with a UV cure to enable
you to meet the volume requirements?).

and the list could go on forever. So - get a copy of 830 and let's
start from there...

Subject: [TN] Conformal coating setup in-house

Happy Friday!

We'd like to set up a conformal coating system in-house (THEY want
to...I know it'll be a pain) and I'd like to ask the cognoscenti how to
go about this.

If you can point me in the right direction (documentation, vendors,
methods, pitfalls etc) I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Regards,

Bob Wilson
