Yes more then likely you can cure at elevated temperatures.

Most of these coating are more like varnishes that need to be dried
rather than polymers that need to be cured.

Important item to keep in mind however is that if you go higher in cure
temperature you have more of a possibility of skinning over, entrapping
solvent and causing bubbles beneath the coating. As a result, you need
to either add or increase your precure "flash-off" time (time in RT
prior to elevated heat). I'd say 20 - 60 minutes @ RT is the proper
range to start with.

Subject: [TN] curing my conformal coating

Hi TechNet
Having a production time crunch, the usual question is being asked of me
- "Do we have to cure the coating for THAT long????"

So - any coating gurus out there (Graham N, are you there?):
 - Humiseal 1A33, per the spec sheet, minimum cure is 20 hours at 190F
(87.8C).
Is it possible to cure at a higher temperature for less time, without
compromising the performance of the material?

Thanks!
 - Graham Collins
