Try to make the connector holes "press fit" if they are going through a
wave solder process.
If the holes are oversized, the part will lift from the force to the
wave...

Ken

Good Morning Blair and Everyone!
I've posted your pictures. They're at:

Yes, I have seen something similar to this. Especially with the long
terminal blocks. But in my case, both ends would warp upward like a
bannana.
What we would do was to hand solder a pin at each end, and one in the
middle, then use a liquid mask (like Wondermask P)to cover them prior to
wave. I know, you don't want to have to put in the extra labor to do
something like this, but it solved the issue for us.

<<Term Board 1.jpg>> St <<Term Board 3.jpg>> ev <<Term Board 2.jpg>> e,
Can you post these three pictures on your TechNet page?
We have seen this problem on some of our termination boards. The
terminal blocks lift off the board during wave solder. I haven't watched
them go thru the wave, so I can't tell if it is happening when it hits
the wave or during preheat.
The production supervisor told me the boards went thru with the end with
the three terminal connector first.
Has anyone else seen this and do you have suggestions on how to keep it
from happening?
Thanks,
Blair
