Mornin' Gil,

Yeah, that sucked when they quit making it...I thought it worked really
well.

I tried quite a few tapes before I finally settled on one, 3M Scotch
233+.

It adheres well, and removes nicely without leaving residue. Even when
the assemblies are put in a 180 F. oven to speed the cure of the
coating. The coating also does not "pull away" from the tape once it's
sprayed like I see with many other tapes.

We spray UR, AR, and silicone coatings here and we use the masking tape
with all three. I'm attaching the datasheet for it...

Subject: [TN] Need a recommendation for masking tape for conformal
coating

Hello TechNet,

Until now we used the HT500 Humiseal masking tape for masking area
before conformal coating. Lately Humiseal announced that it will no
longer sell it. I need your recommendation for a replacement.

Thank you and best wishes,
