Good morning,

In reviewing the IPC 1066 standard for RoHS marking I need some
clarification.

Section 7.1 states

7.1 Category Hierarchy If two or more solder alloys are
used (i.e., reflow and wave solder use different category
solder alloys) the category of the reflow(s) will be shown
first and the wave solder category will follow.

OK, so I've reflowed my SMT parts with SAC and wave soldered my PTH
parts with SnCu and now I'm going to hand solder several parts with SnCu
that could not be reflowed or waved. Following the marking format from
Section 7.6 the marking would be e1/e2 for the reflow and wave. Should
I mark the board e1/e2/e2 to include the hand soldering step? Would the
world understand that?

And if my board is completely hand soldered with SnCu should I simply
mark the board e2.

Thanks in advance for your help.
