We have some large lugs that we need to screw to a PWB. Several ideas
have been floated but I'm concerned about torquing against the pads of a
PTH on a multi layer board.

This is in a high vibration environment so they need to stay in place.
Because of the units design the wires cannot be soldered or the lugs
cannot be soldered or screwed directly to the PWB. They need to be
elevated on a standoff of some kind. One option was to screw the male
threaded end of a standoff to the board and then screw the lugs to the
other side of the standoff.

It seems like I remember some where in my gorilla bag that screwing
standoffs or anything else that needs a good electrical path was not a
good idea. These wires are 16 awg and there are four going to each lug.

Anybody want to chime in on this?
