Graham,

My neighbor next door won the world championship in bow game some years ago.
I have the bowers just outside my door, see them every day training with
their extreme bows. These toys look more like something from Star War, lots
of adjustment screws, counterweights and..I've no idea what it's all. Cost a
fortune. I'll joint to the club one day when I have enough free time. I'm
imposed by the force with which the arrows hit the target. If you are in the
way, the arrow will just pass through your entire body! My brother-in-law is
a hunter, have such bows. I tried one, could hardly pull the string, used
all my force.

Twanggg!

A friend's father in law hunted (successfully) a bear with a bow/arrow a few

years back - makes it a much more interesting proposition! And keeps my
friend in line, having a father in law like that...

Ask your nearest cheyenne, sioux, dakota, or apache friends how to hunt
without bullets. Cheap, silent, environment friendly and much more
demanding. A modern compound bow can probably fix most except for bisons and

grizzly bears. I believe bow hunting is allowed in many countries. But I
don't know how many use it. What do we call it...back to basics.
