After having these crystals analyzed by an outside lab it has been
confirmed that they are definitely Bioact crystals. I had already sent
the boards out for evaluation prior to receiving Joe's email or I
could've saved the $1000 bucks. Thanks anyway for the reply Joe.
Now I just have to determine if they pose any reliability issues for
other boards that may the same condition that have been shipped
already...

Freaky looking, aren't they?
I saw this once years ago. We had cleaned a batch of boards with Bioact
EC-7R in a dishwasher-type system, and the boards then sat undisturbed
over a weekend, unrinsed, because someone forgot about them.
I think these are Bioact crystals, if you can believe that. One more
trip through the Bioact wash will make them disappear.

Indeed strange. Very few crystals have this acicular form, except metal
whiskers. My first reaction is have them analysed!
