I have done some work with cleaning with both HFCs and HFEs, as well as
those you don't wish to know about. What do you want to know? Both types
have medium to high Global Warming Potentials of 100s x that of CO2 (or
 >1000 in some cases). They are very poor solvents by themselves, low
toxicity and stable and are usually mixed with trans-DCE (fairly toxic
and can attack some plastics) and alcohols for board cleaning. They are
all very expensive.

I've no experience of siloxanes but I believe they are very flammable
with a widish range of explosive mixtures and do require strict controls.

Doug: AK-225 is an HCFC which Bev has proscribed. It is usually a mix of
HCFC-225ca and HCFC-225cb and has general characteristics similar to
CFC-113, slightly weaker in solvency and considerably more toxic.
