I'm just curious Larry, do you really save $$ doing it? Because, your buyers will need to order more often those part in tube, maybe at some point you'll have a delevery delay. The guys on the line will have to feed the machine more often, so your machine will be idle more often. More manipulation etc, maybe have more touch up cause bend lead, etc.

Objet : [TN] DDPak diodes in sticks/tubes

We are trying to reduce the amount of $$ we are carrying in inventory so
are switching as many parts from reels to tubes as we can. The tubes
that this particular component package (DDpak) are shipped in just don't
work in a standard vibratory feeder because they are too large and
bulky. We are wondering how other companies deal with this. Is there
another component whose tube is close enough in size that we could
transfer them into? Out of the nearly 1000 tube parts we have, not one
will work. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Larry
