One very good resource on pad cratering is Frank Joyce
([log in to unmask]) at Intel. You can google him for access to
several papers and presentations.  Frank was very helpful to us in
recommending changes to our strian gage testing process for lead free
assemblies.

Good morning all,

Can anyone help point me in the direction where I can find any information
on
pcb laminate cracking beneath pads (pad cratering effect)?  I am doing a
research study on this for my company and any good reference material would

help.
