Yes. I picked it from the puddle and removed the battery immed. Did not
allow electromigration to proceed. Can they not put in a protective ckt lock
on this?

And Congratulations Brian for the two awards. I remember yr mail to me back
- about assessing ecological damage in totality - from Nickel mining/
production to end usage and leaching into soil again. Yes. You deserve the
best.

Daughter dropped hers into a pond while looking at frogs. I told her to
immediately remove the battery (prevent electrolytic corrosion!), rinse it
in DI water and leave it in as many bits as possible to dry out. The
following day, it was reassembled and it worked perfectly and continued that
way until she lost it in Cambodia 18 months later.
