Hi, John
I am sorry if my pun offended anyone. To show my sincerity, I will be

Can we apply the precautionary principle to puns?  I'm concerned because
this is only Wednesday and I thought puns were only tolerable by humans
when restricted to Fridays.  You could qualify for an exemption if you
are taking the rest of the week off.
