Question on PTH integrity....I always see these threads, but never fully
internalized them....
I am looking for general information on cracked PTHs due to thermal
expansion...
What is the CTE of the electro-plated copper in a PTH? C110 is around 18
ppm, would electro-plated be the same?
How far might one expect it to expand elastically before it cracks?
How do you design around CTE mismatch between laminate and copper plating to
prevent cracking?
Any reference to information, articles, books, etc would be greatly
appreciated...
Thanks again!
