I have a very basic need to export decent looking DXF's from Gerber
files. I have used GC Preview Plus but it does not really work in
the "fill or enhanced mode", it creates all kinds of weird looking
entities, and it doesn't import into my design program. In the
non-enhanced mode, pads come out just looking like straight lines so
you may not even recognize a connector or component, it looks thin
traces ending at nowhere. Although it is only $495.00. I kind-of works.
I have used CAM350 and it seems to work well, but if I remember
correctly it was quite expensive just to be able to generate DXF's.
Is there a reasonable solution here. Decent looking DXF's for just a
reasonable cost.
Thanks,
David Baldwin CID+
