IPC did a symposium on white residue that may be worth reprinting, updating
or including in the Process Effects Hdbk. Perhaps they still have the
originals of all the papers.
Later, Bonner et al did some nice work on WResidue, found it to be extremely
thin; in fact almost impossible to get enough for analysis. They had to use
some sophisticated analytical gear to do the work.
Check NEPCON West in the '88/'89 time frame technical proceedings for the
paper.
