Comment, we use have several assemblies (CCAs) that stranded jumper
wires (usually 26 AWG) are used on so water soluble fluxes (QA) can not
be used during any of our processes. We due use the AIM NC 264, Jon

Subject: Re: [TN] No Clean flux residue after water wash

I don't know how many times it has been said here that a so-called
"no-clean" flux is formulated primarily so that the residues are as
benign as possible WITHOUT any cleaning process. If you choose to clean
them, the residues may be much less benign. Fluxes that are designed to
be cleaned are formulated to ensure the cleaning process is as easy as
possible. I do not advise mixing types on any one assembly because you
are negating that advantages of both. The easiest way round your problem

is to use a water-soluble flux for wave soldering (and reduce your
retouch rate at the same time!)
