I was wondering how many of you have seen all the articles about "IT"
lately? If not, here's the latest one:

Just what in the heck is this? Marketing hype?...or is it something that
is truely revolutionary?

Well, "IT" depends - how is that for Friday TechNet play on words?

A limited number of industry "experts" have been given the opportunity to
review the release package for "IT". I am not saying I am an expert, but I am
involved in Roadmap and JISSO activities. I have had a window peek at the
technology.

The interconnection technology package is, in my opinion, evolutionary, and
I might add - exciting. Elements of it have been around for perhaps 30
years, but this is a new sequence of steps that makes you say - "Darn, why didn't
I think of that". In my opinion, the key to putting this over the top, is
the RoHS situation (the kindest word I can call it). While I am sure not all
the "bugs" are worked out yet, I am sure the technology will get a thorough
hearing in the next year. But, I am not going to spill the beans - August 1
is not far away
