I have always run boards so that both terminations enter the wave together. This is to reduce thermal shocking and to reduce solder skips due to shadowing.

Subject: [TN] Wave Solder Direction

Good Summer Afternoon All,

Assuming no other issues with other parts, what is the best direction to

run surface mount parts through a wave solder, side on or end on?
