Dear Jim:
IPC-A-610D Does not allow for class three for jumper wires to be
inserted into a PTH which contains an existing lead. This is due to the
potential CTE differences between the solder, jumper wire, lead and the
barrel wall. Lots of different metals will likely cause a lot of stress
in a Class 3 operating environment.
