True copper would be better - but you should some traceability back to

the original PCB supplier so that they are who they say they are even if

markings (UL logon, flam and voltage rating, batch code and

manufacturers UL-ID symbol) are legend ink only.

The concern that I see is the PWB itself does not bear a mfg. logo as

part of the outer copper plane. The logo has been place with silk

screen.   Now a day anyone can do a silk screen process.

If your product is required to be UL compliant and you want to the UL

logo on the outside then the component parts also need to be UL

compliant. The UL inspector will want to be able to trace the source of

your PCB back to an approved supplier who is UL qualified to build that

PCB and using the specified laminate material and required construction.

The UL website has a logo lookup database which allows you to check this

very quickly. Without the necessary markings its more dificult and

bureaucratic to prove this.



Marking can be in silkscreen legend, does not have to be in copper
