We have a document revision table online; it gets updated several times a year.

Shortcut to the page that has the document revision table is http://www.ipc.org/ContentPage.aspx?PageID=4.1.0 <https://outlook.ipc.org/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.ipc.org/ContentPage.aspx?PageID=4.1.0>
The method to dfrill down to it from home page is www.ipc.org; middle top of page under KNOWLEDGE click STANDARDS then STANDARDS DOCUMENTS. Not as intuitive as it could be.

IPC-A-610 history:
Rev. D 2/05
Rev. C 1/00
Rev. B 12/94
Rev. A 3/90
Orig. 8/83

J-STD-001 history:
Rev D 2/05
Rev. C 3/00
Rev. B 10/96
Rev. A 1/95
Orig. 4/92; Supersedes IPC-S-815

IPC-S-815 history:
Superseded byJ-STD-001
Rev. B 12/87
Rev. A 6/81
Orig. 11/77

It wasn't until Revision C for both documents that they really became aligned with common criteria; prior to that there were conflicts that made it difficult to use the documents together.

Subject: [TN] Curiosity Re: Chicken or Egg

Hi Folks: Could use some help. I had a customer tell me that the J-STD-001
came about before the IPC-STD-610. I had the impression that it was the
other way around. Naturally, as a customer, I didn't disagree with him but now
I am curious as to which really came first. Can anyone shed any light on
this?????

Thanks in advance for the help!!!!!
