For RoHs, lead HASL is certainly out, but you would be OK with SAC HASL

Any large parts have to be non-magnetic...which makes layout of
switching
power supplies fun but
SMT parts are ok with small amounts of nickel in their leads. Our
products
have to be ROHS too, so does that mean HASL is out?

I made bare PCB's for a well known European MRI company which had a
finish
of Leaded HASL. They then switched to immersion Silver with no issues.

Curious though, what about the plated nickel on your component
leads/legs
etc?

Hey all,
Question:
I design PCB's for MRI use so Nickel is no good because it is magnetic.
Is there a standard finish I can use that does not whisker like tin, has
no
nickel like ENIG and can be made by anyone (most at least).
What about Silver?
Thanks
Ken
