Awards to be presented at IPC Midwest Conference & Exhibition
 
IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries(r) announces a Call
for Nominations to recognize the countless volunteers who contribute
their time and expertise to IPC standards development and other vital
IPC activities. Industry members are encouraged to help IPC acknowledge
excellence by nominating individuals for the President's Award and
various committee service awards.  Awards will be presented at IPC
Midwest Conference & Exhibition, to be held September 22-28, 2007, at
the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center, Schaumburg, Ill.
 
The President's Award honors IPC members who have demonstrated ongoing
leadership and made significant contributions of their time and talent
to IPC and the electronics interconnect industry.
 
Committee Leadership awards are given to committee chairs upon
completion of a specific program or standard.  This award can also be
presented to an outgoing chairman who has made contributions over a
period of time.  It can be received more than once.
 
The Distinguished Committee Service awards are presented to committee
members who have contributed to a specific standard or other IPC program
through consistent participation or regular contributions, ballot
submission, and significant impact on a document or project.
 
The Special Recognition award is for individuals or companies who have
given exceptional service to an IPC program or to the industry.  Their
activity can be short term or a one-time event.
 
Nominations must include the candidate's name and contact information
along with a statement describing their contribution(s), how they meet
the award's criteria and why they deserve recognition.
