We have a pcb that is powered through a harness and the bottom of the pcb must be perfectly flat with no 'lead-protrusions" so we are soldering harness wires into blind holes. the pcbs are very expensive and difficult to make.
we wonder about soldering harness wires directly to SMT pads on top of the pcb? What pad designs? and a big concern over strain relieving the harness by attaching it to the pcb, but have really no room on the end of the pcb for other than dots of adhesive, etc...
Can anyone point me in the right direction for information?
Thanks,
