While I appreciate Doug's confidence in my alleged chemical wizardry, the
problem was resolved by a different route. I was lucky enough to be employed by
a major CFC solvent supplier that gave me wide latitude in customer
relations, within the boundaries of my tech service job description: "Do what's right
for the business."
Thus I was able to find the closest field sales technical person, pull them
away from a major customer, ask them to visit this industry newcomer and
provide them with the information needed to successful make small lots of a very
high rel product.
Everything fell into place by dinner time, so no suspect product ever
reached the field for "customer installation", as far as is known.
