What is meant by discontinuity? Breaks in the copper? Voids where the   
fiberglass does not adhere to the resin? If the latter, I have some  pictures 
 that 
show that adhesion failure quite well. Sent them to  Steve Gregory some time  
ago, they were posted on his web pix gallery  for a while. 
I'd be checking the PWB manuf. process to find the cause. Could  be in the  
laminate manuf., especially if the adhesion promoter bath is  not correct.
