The world is full of nonsense. A friend of mine bought water cooled speaker 
cables with pure gold connectors. That cable, I assure, could supply current 
to a whole block in Santa Domingo. Myself, have an ordinary "room cord" like 
the one you use for your desk lamp, this one 15 feet long wire feeds a 800 W 
bass speaker. The loss in the wire is so low, that it's neglectable, and the 
distortion would noone hear when the bookshelves vibrate and you feel the 
thunder through the chair's legs. I prefer to listen to the music, not to 
look at the music via a oscilloscope and a spectrum analyzer.
