Just a heads up.

Please note that the call for information on WEEE / RoHS has come directly
from the commission, the surveys are being handled by the consultants.

If you have some useful data on the costs of RoHS compliance (but not
wanting to go to the lengths of filling out a questionnaire) that you are
willing to share, you can actually write in directly with a covering e-mail
and the data.

The filling out of the questionnaire is a data gathering exercise and does
not stop you sending directly the specific data requested on cost of
compliance. Although I would strongly recommend filling out the
questionnaire I would advocate sending cost data directly along with a
covering e-mail if the questionnaire is a sticking point.

The e-mail address to do this is here:

Please send any paper copies of information which you do not hold
electronically to:

Europeas Commission

Rue de la Loi 200

Subject: Notes on Official Request for Your Input Regarding the Impact of
RoHS/WEEE Directives on Electronics Industry

The IPC, as some folks on these links are aware are enabling through their
web site getting data to the EU consultants studying at the impacts of RoHS
on the global electronics industry (Including costs). The questionnaires can
be obtained by going straight to the link on the IPC web site
http://leadfree.ipc.org/RoHS_WEEE_Qtn.htm - I have also linked it from the
home page of http://www.RoHSUSA.com <http://www.rohsusa.com/> web site.

I would suggest that anyone on these links with a high hit rate site also
link to that set of questionnaires so that the EU teams get the maximum
response to this call for data.

Thanks to the IPC.

Kind regards
