Does the brand of the printer start with an H, D or E? Letting
the rest of the world know what to watch out for would save the same
problems for everyone else. On this forum we have shared what the good
products are and the not so good ones. I heard a few years ago someone
said buy what you need now and keep it for as long as needed till the
mess of lead free is resolved.

Subject: [TN] New printer, surprise

I won't tell you the brand.
I will only tell you that after 3 months in service it's gone crazy.
I am not an expert in printers, but when I see white huge crystals
around all the manually soldered holes on its modules, and the black
telltale deposition between them i know why, and I know that outside it
is gold and inside it is trash.
And I suppose that the spare parts we will get are from the same
assembly manufacturer.
So, in this golden era when cheaper is best for so many OEM's, and the
old requirements are forgotten, PLEASE:
Don't buy anything important only because it has a famous name. Look
inside and judge.
I was surprised. And very sad. This is not a prtable phone you use,
loose, or throw away, it was supposed to last a long time.
Gaby
