Hi everybody,

since I had no answer to my question regarding the required thickness of the Cu layer on top of a steel fence, I try to reformulate.

Can a fence be Sn plated steel only, with no Cu or Ni in between? Would this solder, since Fe is practically insoluble in Sn, so there will be no IMC?
