Today I claim that I have invented a new word,

 

The word is "Envirus"

 

Envirus describes the spread of a piece of environmentally based
"information" - or in some cases legislation which is incorrect
scientifically but erroneously considered to be true or correct, without
recourse to scientific data, or evidence to support it.

 

The Envirus - like it's biological or computer equivalent, can take on
pandemic proportions witness the EU RoHS lead in solders legislation
Envirus, which was coded in Belgium, spread in it's pure form to all EU
countries because they were on the same legisLAN  - and which then spread in
a modified form to China and Korea, and has been correctly identified as the
pure strain in Californian senate areas.

 

The Envirus - dangerous and comes in many forms.
