I agree, Joe, but I don't think that this is a likely risk. In the case
of aircraft wiring, the VERY thin polyimide insulation cracking under
bending stress is one thing; the 1.6 mm thick rigid polyimide laminate
in an inertial guidance system is not likely to be considered as being
even a close cousin. AFAIK, the UK DEF STAN forbidding polyimide
insulated wiring specifies clearly that it is this and this alone.
