That sounds like a guy I used to work with! He was the software manager at a company I worked at. Did he have a beard too? I remember an engineer I worked with at the same company, had a "Shoe" cartoon on his wall. It was Shoe's boss telling him that "Smoking a cigar says something about a man." Shoe's reply was "Yes...you don't mind having a trash fire burning 3 inches from your face." :-) Oh well, back to pushing mouse on my board...

Several years ago I got a box of old Popular Mechanics from my
grandfather; all were from the mid 50's. One them had a photo of a guy
and his bicycle; he had modified it to have an umbrella, lights, and the
works; the odometer read that he had gone something like 2,000 miles in
the last 2-3 years. Being the 50's, I guess it was no shock that the
bike would have an ashtray too, along with an electric cigarette
lighter.
