Parallel is better if close but have used approx 2mm
from score as standard with no problems if caps are parallel.
However will point out there are differences in de-panel units,
and at which speed the unit is run is a factor (operator dependant).
No problems at a slower speed through the machine but when trying to get
more through put there are problems on same board.

Depends,,, X7R caps should be way far. We say 7MM in our guidelines but
can't always comply. Orientation is also a factor. Parallel is better
than
perpindicular (to the Vscore. Same caps from different sources can make
a
difference too.

Our general rule is 3.5MM but again, it's not always possible and
doesn't
always cause a problem when closer.

[TN] Panellization query -- need urgent inputs

Hi,

Need help to know as what is the latest DFM guidelines for the
spacing of the components from the V-score.

We are using a V-groove for panellization. So, what should be the
minimum distance of the components from the V-groove so as to avoid
component damage or cracking during the depanilization using pizza
cutter.

Thanks in advance to all for help.

  Rgds
