Thanks, Joe.
Here is a better quote to address the situation:

'All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do
nothing'.

Subject: Re: [TN] [LF] RoHS/WEEE Directives - Your Opportunity to be
Heard

Industry colleagues:

If the input reflects all of the pain the electronics industry has
needlessly endured over the last several years with this, now proven to
be not environmentally friendly, fiasco called lead-free, one can only
hope that any anticipated outcry will not fall on deaf ears.

While this type of request has been too long a time in coming, in my
opinion, it is nevertheless better to address and correct this
significant error in judgement late, than never.

Along with others who have sent me private responses to this message, I
encourage and trust that everyone will respond to the EU's request, at
least as individuals, if not for their companies. Given that
confidentiality is promised, there seems to be no impediment to speaking
clearly and openly.

May 25th is nearer at hand than we might want to admit to ourselves.

I don't want to sound overly dramatic here but the following comment
Ben Franklin made at the signing of the declaration of independence
came of mind as I was writing:

"We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately."

Best wishes,
Joe
