Jim,

You might consider Emerson & Cuming [Ablestik] or Techfilm performs. The adhesive is B-staged on a woven [Ablestik]/non-woven [Techfilm] fiberglass mat.

The old Ablefilm 550 was what initially popped into mind, but you could also go with some polyimides or thermoplastics? Ablestik would sell them either die cut, or in 6x6", or 12x12" sheets. I believe the thickness was 3, 4, and 6 mils thick. Frozen storage.

Not as familiar with Techfilm products but should work just as well. Their approach is a little different. More like an appliqué based, but should work just as well.

Subject: [TN] structural adhesive

Hello Technet:

I'm looking for a structural adhesive, preferably available in prepreg
form, which has high bond strength and has a service temperature of
about 400 degrees F. Oh yea, also that can be purchased in a relatively
small quantity. (I'll also consider paste adhesives.)

Thanks,

Jim Marsico
