Reuven and all,
HASS is not a good tool for finding Solder Joint Failure. However, Dell,
Airbus, Thales, GM, Cisco, McData, L-3, Boeing and many others, including
several branches of the US and Canadian military, feel that HASS is a very
effective screening tool, if used correctly. HASS does not make a lousy
screening procedure. A word of caution, the terms HALT and HASS have been
widely interpreted by many companies and this has lead to misunderstandings
and poor results.

Hi Reuven,
You certainly would not want to do 'HASS' on product to be shipped. Saying "
after all the visual and X Ray inspections" implies product. HASS makes for
a lousy screening procedure.
The tests I recommend depend on what you try to accomplish--HASS is not
among them.

Werner
