Hi Werner!
I have a problem buying that one.  A couple of reasons:
1) it's consistent on the location - always on through-hole pads.
2) the shape is clean - random vibe would not result in a nice
triangular mark
3) (and I didn't share this one yet) - the boards were not shipped in
as one batch, we've been building this for two years, in batches of
~100.  So there weren't 1000 sitting on it.

#2 does it for me though, it is way to clean a hole.

Hi Graham,
Hmmm...one board out of a thousand=>Occam's Razor, maybe.
Sounds like they got stacked, the bottom PCB was sitting on some
protrusion 
and vibration during transport—truly random—caused those variously
severe 
marks as the stack bounced around.
