My advise would be to be sceptical rather than hopeful.
If it says lead free it [probably] has a lead free finish, but need not have
a ROHS compliant content.
Just because it has no lead it doesn't mean that is capable of being
processed to lead free temperatures.
I would get a statement saying ROHS compliant and lead free processable
before committing.
