Careful Richard, we don't want this issue to snowball.

When I was a child, before any of us knew the true dangers of hardened
dihydrogen monoxide, we used to pack it together and have fights where
we threw it at each other. Looking back, its a miracle any of us are
still alive.

Gordon,

Just think if you made a long sharp object using dihydrogen oxide then
you could use it to stab someone with and afterwards the evidence would
just melt away. That does sound dangerous - maybe it should be banned.

Timothy,

So someone was willing to stand up in a meeting of like-minded souls and
propose that copper be banned? What kind of reception did they give his
proposal? Would they have listened to you if you had pointed out the
simplemindedness of relying solely on an MSDS to identify substances
that should be banned?

If you get a chance with this group, try proposing a ban on dihydrogen
oxide. Maybe that will distract them for a while.
