Ken,
Not that silly.
As a preference, I try to have the schematic engineers stay away from
any ceramic case sizes larger than a 3225. Rule of thumb.
Once we had a problem on a long thin board using ceramic 4532 packages.
Due to flexing of the PCB the cap terminals cracked right off the cap.
Rotating the cap perpendicular to the length of the board helped
alleviate the problem.
