Regarding the recent discussion of replacing type UR coating with type AR - HumiSeal 1A33 is relatively easy to remove with the 1063 stripper HumiSeal recommends. 1063 rarely attacks anything but the coating if used according to instructions.

Type AR is recommended because it is easy to use; type UR is recommended for chemical resistance.

1A33 is a little more difficult to use than acrylics. It is sluggish to cure, even with the lengthy recommended bake. (the coating has a peculiar smell when it's not cured). The recommended dry thickness is 1-3 mils (thousandths of an inch). Thicknesses exceeding 7 mils will not cure properly and are apt to crack and flake off.

In spite of these inconveniences (compared to acrylics) 1A33 is very widely used.
