You can have a thin strip of unused material between the boards to route
into to provide a path for the router for the stepped area. The scored
v-groove can stop at the cutout.

Hi Prashant!

I have your picture posted. Go to:
http://stevezeva.homestead.com/files/Panelization.jpg

I would have another PCB rotated 180-degrees and have it all v-scored.
The pick and place machine shouldn't slow down because the component
rotates at the same time as it travels to placement with most machines
that I know of. and I would run the panel in pick and place and reflow
rotated 90-degrees from the direction that you have shown it running. Is
there any reason that you want to run in that direction?

Also I would check that connector on the end of the board, is it a right
angle connector? Some connectors have a body that needs to hang below
the surface of the PCB. In which case you couldn't have the rail along
that side of the panel, and might cause you to have to re-think your
panel layout.

Does your fab vendor have a recommended panel layout? I usually work
with them for a recommended panel layout...

Kind regards,

-Steve Gregory-

Hi Steve,

Need your help to attach the PCB design pic to your homepage and send
link to technet to help others review and comment.

Appreciate your help and thanks.

	Hi,

This is regarding the panellisation of the PCB. I have attached
the pic here and if it doesnot come attached with the mail, then pls
take a look at Steve's homepage. I am requesting Steve to help me upload
it on his homepage.

I am looking for a 2-up panel along the longer edge. The
direction of flow is as indicated. The concern here is that the bottom
edge of PCB is having a cut-in portion. Need advice as to how can i
route the PCB if i just want to have V-groove? Will it be sufficient and
reliable as to not have issues during manufacturing? The PCB is still
attached to the raiings on the other two ends.

	Or

Do i need to have combination of V-grrove and mouse bites to
have the panellisation?

	Or

If i rotate the PCB by 180 degrees, then i can have a linear
V-grrove panellisation. But, will this affect the cycle time on the
placement by SMT machine as all components would need to be rotated by
180 degrees? Will it have an impact on reflow? Because the other side as
shown shaded is not having any component.

Thanks in advance for all your valuable inputs.

	Rgds
	Prashant
