Hello Techneters,
Our company is presently thinking to use immersion silver as surface
finish for our PCBs.
My questions are:
- Does the problem with tarnishing reduce the solderability or the
reliability of the solder?
- How much time that an immersion silver plated board can be exposed to
the air and keep a good solderability?
- Is there a study on the effect of Immersion silver tarnishing on the
solder joint reliability?
