Kenny,

Rather than continue with the acronym pronunciation discussion, I'll tell 
you that we recently bought  an Ionograph because it can be operated with 
computer software. This way we can store data for future reference and 
review data if necessary. This system is much more sensitive than our very 
old name brand machine that printed out results on adding machine paper. 
We replaced the machine simply because no support for our vintage machine 
was available. 

So, far the machine seems to be working OK.
