Subject: [LF] China RoHS Clarification

How are companies determing the # of years for the "Environmental Protection

Use Period" (EPUP) for their products? Are there any industry standards or
official press releases by the Chinese for product markets (ie. 30 years for

storage array, tape drive equipment) I can reference?

China spec SJ/T11364-2006, "Marking for the Control of Pollution Caused by
EIP", states that all electronic information products that are sold into
China
shall be marked with pollution control logos. So does this mean that if I
ship
items out of a catalog seperately from the system, like compact discs, power

cords, hookup cables, rack mount kits, power supplies, etc., these items
must
also have a seperate EPUP label on them?

China spec SJ/T11364-2006, "Marking for the Control of Pollution Caused by
EIP", gives no guidance on how much detail is needed for the Bill of
Material
hazardous substance disclosure table: System level, Subassembly level,
Component level, homogenous component level. What are companies using
and is there any offical Chinese document which gives guidance I can
reference?

Thanks
Eric
