Hi Oliver, I use tiny uRL because a lot of the mail lists wrap the long URL
and many people do not realize and cannot get to the URL because the
"wrapped piece" is missing.

Most of the responses used the template, however a lot of people used the
template and then "added their own thing" to it.

There may indeed be more that did not want publication I am sure.

One thing I am aware of though the public sector discussion is a two way
street.

I have not yet found a single case of anyone writing in OBJECTING to the
exemption request.......................8-)

How are things in my favourite European city? - perhaps a little too soon in
the year to be strolling through the Englisher Garden to the Japanese
pagoda?

John

BTW: I dislike tinyurl etc, because these services hide information.
Why not simply putting the correct URL in the mail:
http://forum.europa.eu.int/Public/irc/env/rohs_6/library?l=/stakehoders_comm
ents/electronics_assemblies/standard_comments

> There were 329 support responses nearly all of them for item 15.

I wonder whether there are more:
http://ec.europa.eu/environment/waste/rohs_6_consult.htm states that
responses containinge "Not for publication" will not be publicised.
But this wasn't observed in every request, I had this text in the
first line but it _is_ listed nevertheless. Well, I didn't use a
valuable mail address for this one.

Did you check how many used exactly your template and how many used
own text?

Oliver
