If they were bare PCBs as you stated, then I would suggest a 100% visual
inspection of all of the boards for visible damage, and then run them
over the PWB tester again at the board vendor.

Hi Leland,

I'm afraid we will need more information.

What are the boards populated with? Heavy magnetic devices and large
caps?

What industry are they serving?

What was the internal packaging inside the boxes?

Generally when we drop a single board to the floor it's considered scrap
but we are in aerospace.

Subject: [TN] Dropped PCB Advice Request

TechNetters,

Last evening we had a pallet to break as we were moving several boxes of
bare PCBs. Approximately $40K of material fell to the concrete floor
from a height of three to four feet. Only a few of the cardboard boxes
broke open, spilling the contents. The remaining product only suffered
the impact.

How would you recommend that we disposition these? Has anyone had any
prior experience with such an occurrence?

Thanks in advance for your opinions.
